Katherine & Justin Ranch Maternity Session

Katherine’s sister reached out to me about booking a maternity session for her as a gift, and I’m always thrilled to have my services be a gift to someone! She booked the session with me, and then eventually once Katherine knew about it, she reached out to me and we officially scheduled it to be at their home ranch in South Carolina.

The day of the session, I arrived and Justin gave me the whole tour of the ranch and their animals, including many cats, dogs, and horses. They said anything/anywhere that speaks to me, we could use, and we continued to hit basically every area around their property. It was a joy to hear all about how they moved here from out West, found the property, found their horses, and remodeled the house. That’s part of the joy of at home sessions, getting to document yourselves with your most prized things (or animals) and where you feel the most comfortable!

There’s something about maternity sessions on a farm with horses that feels so majestic and special. It was so fun getting to pose K&J with their horses and see what I could naturally get while they were all interacting with each other. I love anything that is out of the norm, especially for maternity sessions, so this is definitely a session that I look back on fondly!
